Where to buy action figures
One of the most popular types of hobbies in the world is collecting, and one of the most fun forms of collecting is to collect toys, especially action figures. This is a hobby that can really get out of hand, and sometimes, even take over a collector’s life, but hey, it’s fun, so what the heck!
There are so many different types of figures out there that one can collect, and then, there are many different variations of the figures. So, this is a hobby that can continue to grow, year after year. When many people first start collecting action figures, they may find it a bit overwhelming, and have no idea where to start to get a really nice collection going.
Where To Purchase Good Quality Action Figures
There are a number of places where you can find some great deals on action figures of all kinds, from Star Wars to Transformers to GI Joe to Barbie, the list just keeps going on and on. Two of my favorite places are Sideshow Toys and Entertainment Earth. Of course, you can find many of the new figures in just about any department store or toy store, so if you are looking to collect newer action figures, this is a great place to start, especially when there are good sales on.
Another place to find new figures at great prices is online, on such websites as Amazon and others. Here you will often find great deals on new action figures of all types, and often, you can get them for much less than what you would pay in a store. Shopping for action figures online is also a great way to learn about new figures, and those that are not yet on the market.
Buying Used Action Figures
If you are looking for new and used figures that are still packaged, a great place to begin your search in on Ebay and other similar auction sites. Often, collectors are selling parts or all of their collections, and this is a terrific way to get really awesome deals on your figures. Often, you can get figures for as little as .99, and you probably would have had to pay a lot more than this if you had purchased them in a store.
There are a lot of other places that you can look for action figures, and if you are interested in loose figures in addition to or instead of boxed/carded figures, you have even more options. Some places that you can find really great deals on loose (sometimes you may even find a carded gem) action figures, accessories and other used toys include:
• Flea markets
• Yard sales
• Collector’s magazines
• Second-hand stores
• Classified ads
• Friends/other collectors
• Antique shops and markets
• Thrift shops
• Shops that specialize in action figures and other pop culture items
If you want to start collecting your favorite action figures, looking for them in some of the above places is a great way to get your collection going. You are going to want to have at least a few figures to get your collection started, and you want to do this as inexpensively as possible. By following the above tips, you can begin to amass an awesome collection that you will soon be showing off to everyone.
